On the top floor of a shuttered two-storey building, with a charming rooftop and temple outlook, Hujan Locale is the place to go to really feel like you’re in Ubud. The cuisine helps too. Chef and restaurateur Will Meyrick has taken his love for Indonesian flavours and given them a modern make-over but not so much so that they lose their authenticity.

THE PLACE
Hujan Locale is a chic, two-story restaurant featuring a stylishly renovated bar on the first floor and a charming, simplistic main dining room on the second floor, with large windows offering views of a Balinese temple and the street.
THE MENU
An edible journey through traditional street food recipes, and on to modern flavours and interpretations. Family-style share plates and authentic flavours populate the menu, ideal for feasting alongside loved ones
